This past Friday night two very experienced Brilliant Criminals – 46 year old Janice Marie Celestine and 43 year old Rosaline Evette Webster were out on the town plying their trade (As experienced felons)… and by the end of the night the final score was Constables 2, Brilliant Criminals 0.
It seems that some time last week Janice and Rosaline hatched what they considered to be a sophisticated plan that theoretically would enable them to appear to pay for merchandise at Walmart and then to walk right out of the store without paying. Sadly for our team of felons, loss prevention isn’t so easily duped, and Janice and Rosaline were nabbed after exiting the store with over $2300 in unpaid for merchandise.
As you are probably thinking, this was far from the first bust for these girlfriends. Less than a day before Janice was indicted by the Montgomery County Grand Jury for an earlier theft that involved conning a cashier at Walgreen’s to put over $1500 on pre-paid VISA cards. Once again Janice was nabbed by Loss Prevention. It’s not a stretch to say Janice is probably a poster girl for Loss Prevention’s Employee training.
Here are just a few of Janice’s previous escapades: Criminal Mischief, Numerous theft by check charges, making a terrorist threat, evading arrest, forgery, numerous larger theft charges, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of too much marijuana.
Now, the old saying “Birds of a feather flock together” is certainly true when it comes to the Janice/Rosaline friendship as here is a smattering of Rosaline’s bookings: Theft, negligent homicide (She was involved in an automobile accident resulting in death and she had cocaine in her possession), Possession of a controlled substance, Driving while intoxicated, and something that sounds like driving with a pretend drivers license.
The way I see it, the problem isn’t that this terrific twosome seems to gravitate to crime, but that they are obviously not very good at it… Either that or they are just out-classed by our fine constables. I was going to end by saying that our Brilliant Criminals didn’t get to be home for Christmas, but then again judging by how much time these two have spent in jail over the last 15 years, they probably felt like they really were home for the holidays.
And that’s the Brilliant Criminal of the day today, brought to you by Ageint Security – the BIG GREEN Crime fighting machine!
